Räyskälä Penthouse is a pair of separate apartments on the upper floor at the west end of Räyskälä’s Great Villa. The penthouse apartments are ideal for recreation days, team wellbeing events or a traditional cottage holiday with family and friends, for groups of up to 15 people.

We primarily rent the impressive penthouse to groups who have booked Räyskälä’s Great Villa, giving them added privacy and a more special setting. When available, it can also be rented separately for smaller-group meetings, celebrations and leisure stays. However, we do not rent the penthouse to another group when Räyskälä’s Great Villa is booked, so that the villa’s guests can enjoy their own peace and privacy.

GENERAL: Räyskälä Penthouse consists of two separate apartments with a combined floor area of 160 square metres. The larger apartment is 90 m² and the smaller one 70 m². The windows in both apartments look out directly over the beautiful shores of Lake Kaartjärvi. The larger apartment was once the home of the head teacher at the former elementary school in the building, while the smaller one was the caretaker’s residence. During the renovation, we sought to preserve the penthouse’s original 1950s atmosphere, giving our guests a sense of what life and work were like for a schoolteacher.

LOUNGE AND KITCHEN AREAS: Both apartments in Räyskälä Penthouse have modern kitchens. They are equipped with tableware for a total of 15 people, an electric stove and oven, a large fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a Moccamaster coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.

Both apartments have a large 65-inch widescreen TV that can also be used as a gaming or meeting display. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout.

ACCOMMODATION: The penthouse has five bedrooms and can accommodate up to approximately 15 guests. The larger apartment has around 10 beds and the smaller one six. The separate corner apartment directly below the penthouse can also be rented as additional accommodation. It has three bedrooms and a sofa bed in the main hall, providing seven beds in total. There are enough duvets and pillows for all the beds.

SAUNAS, SHOWERS AND TOILETS: Each apartment has its own electric sauna, shower room and separate toilet. The corner apartment downstairs, which is available to rent as extra accommodation, also has its own toilet.

OUTDOOR AREAS AND HOT TUBS: Directly below the penthouse, along the lakeside wall of the Great Villa, is a 60-square-metre terrace with scenic views and three wood-fired hot tubs. The separate sauna area downstairs, available to rent, has access to the terrace and to swimming in Lake Kaartjärvi. Down by the lake, there is a barbecue shelter and a campfire site.

PRICING: Depending on the agreement, the price of Räyskälä Penthouse includes use of either one or both apartments. Optional extras include use of the large sauna area downstairs, hot tubs and barbecue shelter, final cleaning, bed linen (made up or folded) and towels. We also offer boat and canoe rental, activities, fishing guidance, catering and practical services, such as preparing the saunas and hot tubs before your arrival. All extras must be booked at least 14 days before arrival.
