The wilderness-like setting of Evo’s Syväjärvi—spanning six hectares—is a favorite among anglers, corporate groups, and nature lovers who aren’t afraid to take on a sauna challenge or cast a line. The lake teems with fish, giving everyone the chance to land a great catch. Around 2,500 kilograms of salmonids are stocked annually, ensuring there are plenty of fish ready to bite.

Cottage Description

GENERAL: The Syväjärvi complex at Evo includes a main building suitable for winter use and two additional accommodation buildings, along with a private beach, a lakeside sauna, a lean-to shelter, and a campfire site. The cottages, situated on the shore of Lake Syväjärvi—a lake rich in fish—offer accommodation for 20 guests, who also have access to six rowing boats. In addition to catering to anglers and those seeking a peaceful cottage getaway, the location is excellent for corporate team-building events and bachelor or bachelorette parties.

LIVING/MEETING AREAS: The main building offers space for dining, socializing, meetings, or family gatherings for approximately 20 people. Amenities include a 42-inch flat-screen TV with a computer connection. A projection screen is provided, and a data projector is available upon request. The fireplace room in the separate lakeside sauna building is furnished with a rustic dining set, a fireplace, a sofa, and a fridge-freezer.

ACCOMMODATION: Two separate accommodation buildings, each sleeping nine, are located near the main building and the lakeshore. Both feature six beds on the ground floor and three in the loft.

Additional sleeping space for 3–6 people is available in the main building and the sauna building, bringing the total capacity to 21–24 guests. Quilts and pillows are provided to match the number of beds.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is equipped with running hot and cold water, tableware for 20 people, an electric stove and oven, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, and a Moccamaster coffee maker.

SAUNA AND TOILETS: The wood-heated lakeside sauna features bench seating for 10 guests. Cold running well water is available from the tap, and washing water can be heated in the wood-burning sauna stove’s water tank. Two dry toilets are located in a separate building between the main building and the accommodation buildings.

OUTDOOR AREAS AND HOT TUB: There is an open terrace with benches in front of the main building. A campfire site and a lean-to shelter are situated in the center of the complex, by the shore of the lake and the stream that flows through the area. The site also features a fish-cleaning station, six rowboats, and three piers. The sauna terrace has a wood-fired hot tub that accommodates approximately six bathers at a time. Please note that the use of outdoor speakers is not permitted, so as not to disturb the peace of nature.

FISHING, BOATING, AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Lake Syväjärvi is ideal for fishing enthusiasts; the lake is stocked primarily with salmonids—about 2,500 kilograms annually. A typical catch is a rainbow trout weighing just over a kilogram, though other species also inhabit the lake’s depths. Fishing is permitted using lures and flies, as well as ice fishing in winter—all without catch limits.

PRICING: The price for the Syväjärvi site includes the main building (accommodating 20–25 people), two accommodation buildings, six rowboats, the lakeside sauna, and use of the lean-to shelter and campfire site. Additional services available for order include final cleaning, a hot tub, bed linen (either made-up or stacked), towels, and fishing rights with equipment. We also offer services related to activities, catering, and assistance—such as preparing the sauna and hot tub before guests arrive. All additional services must be ordered no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
