Ruuhijärvi Manor is a rental lodge accommodating over 20 people, where you can step back in time to the spirit of the 1920s logging era. Yet, that nostalgia applies only to the atmosphere; following its renovation, this former logging camp lodging is now packed with modern comforts.

Meetings, strategy days, school camps, and parties are all handled here with style and a relaxed vibe. The main building is fully equipped with everything you need, and if you’re looking for something truly special, the celebration barn is ready to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

GENERAL: Evo Ruuhijärvi is a large rental cottage and villa offering a nature-oriented setting for all kinds of events for groups of 1–60 people. Situated on the shore of a peaceful wilderness lake, the villa is suitable for meetings, corporate events, and staff recreation days, as well as summer and winter holidays and fishing-focused cottage trips.

MAIN HALL AND LOUNGE/MEETING AREAS: The main hall of the main building accommodates approximately 25 guests. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a flip chart, a projection screen, and a 55-inch flat-screen TV with an HDMI connection. A data projector is available upon request. Adjoining the hall is a smaller private room (cabinet) that seats about 10 people for dining; this room also features a 55-inch TV.

ACCOMMODATION: Ruuhijärvi offers sleeping arrangements for a total of approximately 23 guests. The main building has two 6-person bedrooms, one 5-person bedroom, and a 2-person sofa bed in the lounge area. The lobby contains two 2-person sofa beds. The fireplace room of one of the lakeside saunas features a bunk bed for 2–3 people and floor space for 2 guests using their own mattresses.

A separate small outbuilding in the yard area sleeps 1–4 guests. This outbuilding is suitable for accommodation provided the outdoor temperature is no lower than -5°C. There are enough blankets and pillows to match the number of beds.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is equipped with tableware for at least 25 guests, two electric stoves and ovens, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, a Moccamaster coffee maker, and a microwave. The well water may have a slight taste of iron but is safe to drink.

SAUNAS, SHOWERS, AND TOILETS: The main building features an electric indoor sauna for four people and a changing room, as well as three showers and three separate toilets.

The smaller lakeside sauna has a wood-burning stove and a 40-liter hot water tank. The sauna benches accommodate approximately 10 bathers at a time, and the changing room is also sized for about 10 guests. The larger lakeside sauna accommodates approximately eight bathers, and its spacious changing room—suitable for about 15 people—is insulated and electrically heated.

OUTDOOR AREAS AND HOT TUBS: The cabin’s two wood-fired hot tubs (each seating six) are located on the deck between the lakeside saunas, right by the water’s edge. In front of the main building, there is a barbecue hut suitable for year-round use and a separate campfire site. Attached to the main building is an open deck with benches, and there is an additional deck next to the building, beside the campfire site.

CELEBRATION BARN: The log-built celebration barn, suitable for year-round use, offers a wilderness-style event space for up to approximately 50 guests. The space features atmospheric electric lighting, sturdy log tables and benches, and a wood-burning stove that creates a cozy warmth, even during the colder seasons. The celebration barn is suitable for festive meals, wilderness-style meetings, and intimate performances.

FISHING, BOATING, AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: A boat is available at the shore for leisurely rowing or fishing on the lake. Ruuhijärvi is situated right in the heart of the renowned Evo outdoor recreation area, which offers dozens of kilometers of hiking and cross-country skiing trails.

PRICING: The base rate for Evo Ruuhijärvi includes the main building (with access to the indoor sauna) and one lakeside sauna. Additional services available for booking include the log celebration barn, a second lakeside sauna, 1–2 hot tubs, a barbecue hut, a separate small sleeping cabin for four, extra tableware, final cleaning, bed linen (either made-up or stacked), and towels.

We also offer boat and canoe rentals, activity and catering services, and support services—such as preparing the saunas and hot tubs before guests arrive. All additional services must be ordered no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
