GENERAL: The Evo Wilderness Villa—modernly equipped yet steeped in history—is situated on a forest estate of approximately 1,700 hectares in Hämeenlinna. Converted from a traditional logging camp cabin into a modern, multi-purpose villa, it is not located in the remote wilderness but rather close to Finland’s population center: 150 km from Helsinki, 100 km from Tampere, and 45 km from the center of Hämeenlinna.

MAIN HALL AND LIVING/MEETING AREAS: The cottage’s dining and meeting room features a long, rustic table with seating for approximately 15 guests. Wi-Fi is available at no extra cost, and a 40-inch flat-screen TV serves as a presentation screen for meetings. There is direct access from the dining room to the terrace and the forest garden. Please note that the cottage is heated by electricity; the historic fireplaces cannot be used due to fire safety regulations.

ACCOMMODATION: The cottage offers sleeping arrangements for 15 guests across five bedrooms—four located upstairs and one downstairs. Additional spare mattresses are available, allowing for a total capacity of up to 20 guests. The cottage is stocked with a number of duvets and pillows corresponding to the sleeping capacity. KITCHEN: The open-plan kitchen, an extension of the main hall, is equipped with tableware for at least 20 guests, an electric stove and oven, two refrigerators, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a Moccamaster coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster.

SAUNAS, SHOWERS, AND RESTROOMS: The cabin’s electric indoor sauna accommodates 6–8 people at a time. The washroom features a shower. The villa has two restrooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs.

In the backyard, there is a wood-heated outdoor sauna made of solid logs (dating back to the 1950s) with a changing room; it accommodates approximately 10 bathers. The outdoor sauna has electricity, and cold water from a drilled well is piped in year-round. Washing water is heated in a 40-liter tank attached to the sauna stove.

OUTDOOR AREAS AND HOT TUBS: A large covered terrace with benches is located at the end of the main building. There is direct access to the terrace from the indoor sauna’s changing room.

A lean-to shelter with a fire pit is situated in the wooded garden area between the main building’s terrace and the outdoor sauna. An adjacent open terrace features comfortable seating arrangements for nearly 20 guests.

One of the wood-heated hot tubs is located on its own small deck next to the outdoor sauna, while the other is situated next to the main building’s terrace. Each hot tub accommodates 6 bathers at a time. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Evon Erähuvila is located near the renowned Evo outdoor recreation areas, which offer dozens of kilometers of hiking and cross-country skiing trails. The beach and fishing area at Niemisjärvet are a walk of approximately 1.4 kilometers away along the forest road passing in front of the villa.

PRICING: The price of Evon Erähuvila includes the use of the approximately 180-square-meter cabin, including the indoor sauna. Additional services available for order include an outdoor sauna, one or two hot tubs, a lean-to shelter with a campfire site, final cleaning, bed linen (either made-up beds or stacked sets), and towels.

In addition to cabin rentals, we offer activity, catering, and support services—such as preparing the saunas and hot tubs before guests arrive. All additional services must be ordered no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
