Aulangon Rantala is a complex comprising four buildings, set in a natural environment enjoyed by both corporate groups and private guests. The Aulanko area offers days’ worth of sights and activities, ranging from spas and golf courses to observation towers and fishing trips. During the day, you can serve coffee breaks on the terrace and take a refreshing dip in the water. As evening falls, gather your group for conversation by the barbecue area or enjoy a proper sauna session—or even two.

GENERAL: Consisting of four buildings, Aulangon Rantala is a versatile villa complex with approximately 22 beds, located in the Aulanko Rauha area on the shores of Lake Aulankojärvi in ​​Hämeenlinna.

The main villa is a multi-purpose building with approximately 15 beds. In addition to the main villa, the complex includes the “Pikkuhuvila” (Small Villa)—equipped with a kitchen and bathroom and sleeping five—a lakeside sauna, and a year-round accommodation cabin with four beds.

MAIN HALLS AND LOUNGE/MEETING AREAS: The 130-square-meter main villa features a dining and meeting room of over 50 square meters, with space for around 20 people at a long table. In addition, there is seating for approximately 10 people in the sofa area and at the bar counter overlooking the view. The space features complimentary Wi-Fi, and a large flat-screen TV serves as both a standard television and a meeting display. A projection screen is also available, with a data projector available upon request. The open-plan kitchen in the smaller villa features a farmhouse-style table (approx. 2.5 meters long) with space for 8 people to dine and socialize. The smaller villa also includes a large flat-screen TV that serves as both a television and a meeting display.

KITCHENS: The main villa’s kitchen is equipped with tableware for 20 people, while the smaller villa’s kitchen has settings for 10. Both kitchens are equipped with an electric stove and oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Moccamaster coffee maker, kettle, and toaster.

ACCOMMODATION: The Rantala complex offers sleeping arrangements for a maximum of 27–33 people across four buildings, though we recommend it for groups of up to 25 overnight guests. The main villa has 15–20 beds across four bedrooms and sofa beds in the main hall; the smaller villa has three beds and a sofa bed (sleeping 1–2); the lakeside sauna building has four beds; and the guest outbuilding has four beds. Duvets and pillows are provided to match the number of beds.

SAUNAS, SHOWERS, AND TOILETS: The electric sauna located at the end of the main villa accommodates approximately eight bathers at a time. From the sauna terrace, it is just a short distance to Lake Aulangonjärvi, or to the warmth of the 5-person electric hot tub on the terrace or the 6-person wood-fired hot tub on the lakeside sauna’s terrace. The washroom in the sauna area features two showers and a toilet. Additionally, there is a separate toilet off the villa’s entrance hall. In the smaller villa, the toilet and shower area is conveniently located as an extension of the hallway.

The separate lakeside sauna is situated less than 20 meters from the shore. The sauna accommodates eight bathers, and the terrace offers direct access to the jetty and the lake. The lakeside sauna is also equipped with a shower and a toilet.

TERRACES AND OUTDOOR AREAS: The main villa features a covered terrace of over 50 square meters that wraps around two sides of the building. An electric outdoor hot tub is located in the corner of the terrace, while the lakeside sauna terrace houses a wood-fired hot tub. Next to the hot tub, there is an open fireplace with a rugged, wilderness-style feel.

FISHING, BOATING, AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Rantala is located less than 20 meters from the shore of Lake Aulangonjärvi, making it easy to head out for fishing, boating, or paddling on the lake, or ice fishing in the winter.

Rantala is just a few hundred meters from Sibelius Forest, a nature reserve located on the eastern shore of Lake Aulangonjärvi. In winter, you can easily access the Lake Aulangonjärvi cross-country ski track directly from the Aulangon Rauha area.

PRICING: The base price for Rantala includes the use of the main villa, the indoor sauna in the main building, and the guest cabin. Additional services available for order include use of the Small Villa, lakeside sauna, barbecue area, hot tub, and Jacuzzi, as well as final cleaning, bed linen (either made-up or stacked), and towels. We also offer boat and canoe rentals, activity and catering services, and support services such as preparing the saunas and hot tubs prior to your arrival.
