Satakunta
Satakunta is a modern-day province of Finland, comprising the western part of the historical province of Satakunta. It is surrounded by Southwest Finland, Pirkanmaa, South Ostrobothnia, the province of Ostrobothnia and the Sea of Bothnia to the west. Satakunta has an area of 7,821.14 km². The province's freshwater area is 448.21 km² and its seawater area is 3,223.71 km². Satakunta has a population of 211,296. Satakunta's population has declined in recent decades despite the fact that the province has received a migration gain from abroad.
