Tavastia Proper
Kanta-Häme is a province of Finland in Southern Finland, roughly comprising the southwestern part of the historical province of Häme. It is surrounded by Uusimaa to the south, Päijät-Häme to the east, Pirkanmaa to the north, and Varsinais-Suomi to the southwest. Kanta-Häme's area on 1 January 2021 was 5,707.63 km², of which 5,199.15 km² is land and 508.48 km² is inland water. The population of the province on 31 December 2024 was 169,429.
